In particular, we want you to know that THE PRODUCTION COMPANY is not in the business of selling, renting or trading email lists with other companies and businesses for marketing purposes. What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service Privacy Policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Google Analytics

When someone visits theproductioncompany.ie we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way, which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

Mailing Lists

We don’t often send out newsletters. However, should THE PRODUCTION COMPANY ever wish to send out newsletters, we would only do so, if you have given your consent to being contacted in this way. We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver newsletters. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Storing information and Third Parties

As a rule, we do not share any collected personal data with third parties. If you contact us via our contact form or directly on an email address, your information will be housed within our email client.

If your personal information becomes vital to a production and your information needs to be on a production call sheet, this will only be shared with other individuals who are specifically linked to the production.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
